Read our press release inviting the public to participate in the online Q&A webchat with Sir Hayden Phillips:
Political party funding webchat - Your chance to question Sir Hayden Phillips
Sir Hayden Philips will hold an online question and answer hour on party funding on Monday next week. Members of the public will be able to ask him questions about the interim assessment of his review published last week.
Sir Hayden said:
"On 19 October, I published an interim assessment setting out the main issues as they appear to me; and the choices that face the public and political parties. This question and answer session provides you with an opportunity to ask me questions arising from this assessment. I need to hear, and the parties need to hear, informed public reaction.
"The debate on party funding has moved on. Choices now need to be made between sometimes conflicting views on these issues. Many people have made comments on the issues, including the political parties, the Electoral Commission and others, as well as the general public.
"I want the public to continue to be involved in the Review's work, even as the negotiations with political parties move to a more advanced and sensitive level. This ensures that the public's views continue to feed into the discussions with political parties."
Further information is available from the Review website: www.partyfundingreview.gov.uk, where there will be a link to the webchat on Monday 30 October at 2pm (1400 GMT).
